Bullet Resistant Hollow Metal Frame
The bullet resistant hollow metal frame is constructed of 16 gauge mild steel and is typically used to secure drywall or masonry openings. It is available in multiple frame depths and comes standard in a prime painted gray finish. This design is intended to allow the encapture and retention of a bullet, lessening the potential of a random injury or lateral penetration.
Most customers choose the hollow metal frame because they need to match an existing aesthetic for their facility. Because it is nearly impossible to pack the channel opening, channels for hollow metal framing systems are not UL rated.
