Thermally Broken Walkable Skylights
Pedestal Paver Application
Glass Flooring Systems thermally broken SkyFloor® units have been designed from their inception to be a thermally broken system. This critical feature is not an afterthought of makeshift solution. There are two versions of our thermally broken frames. One is designed for use with pedestal pavers or other elevated finished surface. The second is our recessed frame which has been designed to work for a low profile or close to the slab framing condition. Our recessed frame provides a flush finish surface to match your finish walkable surface. Both ver-sions are constructed of 6063-T6 aluminum; greatly reducing the overall weight of the completed assembly while still maintaining all of the strength and load bearing capabilities required. This reduced weight provides for easier and quicker installation, saving both time and money.
Our thermally broken SkyFloor® units utilize our patented framing system which incorporates our snap on setting blocks. These setting blocks work as one with the framing members, eliminating potential installation issues or unsightly finish conditions. In addition, all thermally broken frames are configured with an LED lighting channel. This industry leading option provides a wave of color over the glass helping to transform any room into a dynamic living space.
Thermally broken SkyFloor® units come in either white or black with custom colors available upon request.
Our proprietary frames provide an elegant and truly functional solution for all of your walkable skylight and glass flooring needs. Every thermally broken SkyFloor® unit has numerous patent pending features to insure a beautiful, trouble free finished product.
