FDRD Fire Door Release Device

A UL Listed, time-delay door release device that directs a fire door’s fail-safe closure in an emergency situation. Models available for tension release and non-tension release applications with non-motorized, or motorized, door closure upon activation.

Standard Features

• Floor level testing, reset and trouble indication.
• Intelligent operation feature recognizes when the door is closed, inhabits release to eliminate time-consuming resets and prevents damage to the door release mechanism**.
• Available in 120 VAC or 24 VDC for motorized or non-motorized door closure.
• Battery back-up provides extra protection in the event of a power loss (FDRDB and FDRDC models).
• Diagnostic capabilities via LED status lights confirm the operation of the unit.
• 10-second time-delay on alarm (up to 60-seconds optional) as allowed by authority having jurisdiction.
• Optional alarm on power loss provided additional safety measure (FDRDB and FDRDC models).
• Relay contact outputs can be utilized to indicate active alarm and troubles.
• Sounder/strobe alarm available (standard on FDRDC model).
• UL 864 and NFPA® 72 compliant.
• Compatible with UL 325 compliant operators - maintains stop on obstruction option.
