Sealers - Scofield® Cureseal-W™

A colorless clear concrete curing compound and abrasion resistant sealer for use on aged or freshly placed interior or exterior concrete surfaces.

SCOFIELD® Cureseal-W™ is a concrete curing compound and sealer that reduces moisture loss and seals surfaces with an abrasion and stain resistant coating. Used during concrete placement, it reduces surface cracks and color variations caused by uneven drying and efflorescence that commonly occurs in warm, windy, or dry environments. Use on existing concrete to add an abrasion and stain resistant barrier that effectively seals, dustproofs, and prevents staining from common foods and chemicals. When concrete is freshly placed, shaded areas or areas in the center of large slabs surface dry slower than those exposed to sunlight or closer to form edges. This uneven drying, along with common efflorescence, often causes color variations that are obvious. These differences are long lasting, and raise questions about the quality of the concrete placement. SCOFIELD® Cureseal-W™ works to eliminate these problems and enables contractors to immediately deliver jobs that are uniform in color and appearance.

Store at 40°F to 120°F (4°C - 49°C). DO NOT FREEZE!

Application

Application Steps

If using spray equipment, always wear protective respirator, and mask adjacent areas to protect property from overspray. Dried material will be difficult to remove. Remove overspray immediately with soap and water.

Coverage Rates

Coverage will vary depending on the porosity and texture of the surface, surface preparation, and application technique. Typical coverage rate is 200-400 ft² per gallon (4.5-9.8 m²/L) and will yield a dry film thickness of 1.90 - 0.95 Second coat application, coverage of 600-800 ft²/gal (14.8-19.6 m²/L) is typical.

Equipment

Apply SCOFIELD® Cureseal-W™ by brush, roller, HVLP, airless, or pump-spray application. Always wear protective clothing and equipment proper for the method of application. If using a roller, use a quality 3/8" nap with tapered edges.

Spray applicator Guidelines:
Pump Garden Sprayer: Use conical tip.

Airless spray: 1500-2500 psi (10-17 MPa) fitted with a fan tip of 0.013-0.018 inches (0.33-0.46 mm).
HVLP spray: 5-40 psi (35-275 kPa)
