Pool Bulkheads for Flexible Pool Configurations

Hybrid pool bulkheads use the same stainless steel structural framework as Natare’s standard pool bulkheads, with one key difference. The exterior trim above the waterline is manufactured from Natare’s GPM™ polymer material.

Hybrid bulkheads are commonly used in facilities that want the durability and performance of a stainless steel bulkhead while adding visual distinction or customized above-water detailing.

Self-supporting stainless steel structures

These headwalls are engineered as self-supporting stainless steel structures that integrate with the pool without altering the underlying basin. This allows facilities to adjust pool configurations for competition without permanent structural changes.

The top and sides of Natare parapet headwalls are covered with slip-resistant GPM™ polymer grating, providing a safe and secure walking and turning surface for swimmers and officials. The grating is designed to support proper water circulation while maintaining stable footing in wet conditions.

Because headwalls are removable, they allow facilities to transition between competitive and non-competitive use as needed. This flexibility supports multi-use programming while maintaining compliance with applicable swimming standards.
