Square beam wraps with a caulk reveals provide a variety of solutions to integrate with other building design elements and enhance the look of your project. Beam wraps are available in aluminum, stainless steel, composite or a combination of materials.

Column Covers and Beam Wrap

Our column covers and beam wrap products provide a wide range of durable and attractive solutions for interior and exterior structural applications. Available in radiused, square or oval profiles with hairline, caulked or reveal joints, imagination is virtually the only design limitation. Our manufacturing capabilities allow for radiuses as tight as 8″ (203.2mm), maximum arc length of 58″(1473.2mm) and single units as tall as 15 feet (4.57m).

Selecting the right material for the job will help ensure maximum product life. We offer stainless steel columns, aluminum columns, Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) columns and beam wrap. Stainless steel is ideal for airport columns and other very high traffic areas because it can withstand constant impacts from luggage and pedestrians. Standard thickness is 16 gauge (1.291mm). Additional thicknesses are available. Optional sound dampening material can be included for applications in which reducing noise from impacts is important. Finishes included brushed, polished and custom options. If budgets call for a more economical option, use stainless steel up to the maximum height of impact combined with a primed aluminum column. Stainless steel will resist impacts and primed aluminum panels can be painted to match interiors through many future remodels.

Aluminum columns are most common and are appropriate for most interior or exterior applications. They offer good impact resistance and are finished to stand up to the elements. Optional sound dampening material can be included for applications in which acoustical performance is key. Standard skin thickness is 0.125” (3.175mm), but 0.090” (2.29mm) and 0.1875” (4.76mm) are also available. A wide range of anodized and painted finishes offer design flexibility. We recommend our two-coat Kynar finish which carries up to a 20 year warranty.

ACM panel column covers can offer an economical choice for interior or exterior applications. Standard panels are .020” (.508mm) skins over Polyethylene (PE) standard core material 3mm, 4mm, & 6mm or fire-rated (FR) 4mm & 6mm cores with Kynar finish. Anodized, stainless steel, copper and zinc are available through varying limited sizes for an additional cost.

Joining options provide additional design flexibility. Varied levels, both vertical and horizontal, can enhance the design. Hairline joints provide a clean, finished look.
