Extreme® 300 Series High Performance Grille
High Performance Rolling Grille
For building owners and maintenance managers tired of repairing or replacing commercial doors or security grilles, the Extreme® 300 Series High Performance Grille is the answer. Ideal for parking garages, airports and transportation hubs or other high traffic openings, the 300 Series High Performance Rolling Grille operates up to 3 times faster than standard overhead coiling grilles and is engineered for 300,000 open and close cycles. If you need a high speed grille, the 300 high performance grille has fast opening speeds of up to 24" per second and closes at 12" per second. This maximizes productivity, smooths traffic flow and reduces downtime in high traffic applications.
To ensure maximum uptime, the 300 Series Grille requires practically no maintenance other than routine checks and no replacement parts. The commercial grille’s compact operator features a variable-frequency drive that ensures a smooth start and stop - reducing wear and tear on both the overhead grille and the operator. In addition, the operator’s direct drive design means there’s no sprocket and chain to wear or replace. It accepts virtually all security activation systems and features a 2 year operator warranty and a 2 year/300,000 cycle component warranty.
Our Apex SmartController intelligent control panel featuring plug and play wiring makes installing and servicing the 300 Series Security Grille easier than ever before. The LCD screen communicates safety grille status messages, provides easy-to-follow instructions for roll up grille commissioning, and electronically sets door limits. When the security grille limits are set, they are continuously monitored and adjusted.
When you need fast speeds, maintenance free solutions and easy to install and use security that still provides visibility and air flow, the 300 Series High Performance Grille is the only security answer you need.

Options
Aesthetics
Hood and Operator Covers
Metal cover to protect the coil or operator from exterior weather, debris or to meet OSHA or UL 325 safety requirements.
Powder Coating Grilles
Powder coat finish in more than 180 colors is available on perimeter components such as the aluminum bottom bar, hoods, wall angles, tubes and fascia. This finish is not available on the grille curtain.
Sloping Bottom Bar
CornellCookson's new low profile sloping bottom bar for the Extreme MicroCoil Grille and Extreme 300 Series High Performance Grille allows for a continuous uniform grille versus the traditional, bulkier pitch plates giving your opening a highly aesthetic, finished look.
Performance Upgrades
Vibration Isolators
Vibration Isolators effectively reduce the amount of vibration* caused by operation of doors and grilles.
*Vibration was reduced by 14% on doors and grilles with Vibration Isolators installed compared to doors and grilles without the system.
LED Light Kit
The LED Light Kit provides a high-visible status indication for overhead doors and grilles. Designed for challenging environments like fire and emergency services, parking garages, and warehouses, the effective LED light strips limit downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.
Seismic Performance Validation
We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.
Safety and Protection
Sensing Edge
Smoother Installation and easy maintenance:
Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille. This ensures a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The new sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance.
Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.
Stronger weather protection:
Featuring flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges withstand the elements, providing maximum protection
Entrapment Protection Devices
Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.
Monitored Protection, Even at High Speeds
UL 325-2010 (NEMA 4X) compliant photo eye sensors allow for momentary contact operation - useful in parking garages and other high use openings. Interruption of the photo eye beam before the door fully closes causes the door to immediately halt downward travel and reverse direction to return to the fully open position.
SafetyGard Light Curtain Technology
The 6’ tall light curtain is installed within the guide and blends into the guide construction. If the grille is cycling and an object passes through the curtain beams the door will immediately halt downward travel and reverse direction to return to the open position.
Vibration Isolators
Vibration Isolators effectively reduce the amount of vibration* caused by operation of doors and grilles.
*Vibration was reduced by 14% on doors and grilles with Vibration Isolators installed compared to doors and grilles without the system.
