Utilizing our patented perimeter door sealing system along with a thermally broken guide construction, our Thermiser Max® Insulated Overhead Door is IECC, ASHREA and LEED certified. Our Thermiser Max® Insulated Door meets 2021 IECC®, ASHRAE® 90.12, and California’s Title 24 air infiltration requirements with an independently tested value of less than 0.3 CFM/FT2

Our commercial insulated door sealing system not only significantly reduces air leakage but also reduces sound transmission. Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating is up to 30 for the entire assembly. If an STC of 32 is desired, additional options are required. All configurations are evaluated per ASTM E90, based on testing a complete, operable assembly.

Usage

These doors are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to 20 cycles per day - that’s 50,000 cycles for the lifetime of the door.

Materials and Finishes

Configuration:

Double skin interlocking roll formed interior and exterior metal slats :

• R-value of 8 as calculated using the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals

Slats are filled with 7/8" thick closed cell pressure foamed in place urethane insulation:

• Flame Spread Index of 0
• Smoke Developed Index of 10 as tested per ASTM E84
• CFC-free process with an Ozone Depletion Potential rating of 0
• Meets foam plastic insulation requirements of the 2012 IBC®, section 2603

Available Operators

Our doors can open by motor, chain, hand-crank, or push-up operation, depending on size, weight and/or frequency of operation.

Model MG - A medium duty operator for doors that will cycle less than 20 times per day

Model SG - A super duty, full logic operator for larger doors or doors that may periodically cycle more than 20 times per day

This option moves the auxiliary chain out of the clear opening and to the side of the door - enabling free movement through the door and making a chain bag unnecessary.

Safety and Protection

Sensing Edge - Entrapment Protection Device

Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille ensuring a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance. With flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges provide maximum protection while withstanding the elements.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

SafetyGard UL325 Light Curtain

A UL325 approved non-contact primary entrapment device that prevents damage to an object in the door’s pathway in addition to minimizing damage to the closure itself.

Entrapment Protection Devices

Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.

Guide-Mounted Interlocks

An electrical cutout switch to prevent motor operation if locking device is not first disengaged.

HDBB (Heavy Duty Bottom Bar)

The HDBB is 350% stronger than traditional bottom bars, preventing forklift damage to your Service or Insulated Door. The HDBB can pay for itself after the first impact and significantly reduce future maintenance costs.

Motor Mounted Interlock

An overload sensing device that prevents damage if motor operation is attempted when the door or grille is locked. Field wired guide mounted interlocks are no longer necessary.
