Features / Benefits

Warranty:

The 20 Year, 120 mph Perma-Tite Wind Warranty is available on orders to meet a project's specification. It provides a maximum of 20 years, 120 mph coverage for the repair or replacement of any portion of the roof edge system that has failed due to a defect in Metal-Era supplied materials.

Testing:

  • Tested per ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435/ES-1 Standard to comply with the International Building Code.
  • Factory Mutual approved for wind uplift protection.

Available Materials:

Its unique design allows for covers to be manufactured in 24 ga steel, .040", .050" and .063" aluminum.

Splice Plates:

Interlocking, concealed splice plate design prevents splice plate migration under the fascia panels. This creates a more aesthetically pleasing design compared to traditional cover plates or lap joints at the seams.

Watertight:

Its unique design reduces the possibility of membrane damage and provides formed edges at all critical wind up-lift pressure points. The free-floating aluminum compression clamp creates a positive seal, regardless of membrane irregularities.

Competitively Priced:

The installed cost rivals even light gauge roof edge systems fabricated locally or in a roofer’s shop.

Efficient Design:

The fascia is provided in 12'-0" lengths with slotted fastening holes in the galvanized waterdam to allow for proper thermal movement of the materials and to ensure correct fastener placement and spacing. The raised button-hole on the vertical face of the waterdam makes it easier to install. Its snap-on design eliminates cumbersome clips and screws. All this provides quicker installations and lower labor costs.

Colors:

Choose among a wide range of standard colors and finishes that meet your job requirements. A 30 year Kynar 500® finish warranty is included on coil-coated standard colors. Custom post-coated Kynar 500® colors are available with an included 10 year Kynar 500® finish warranty or a 20 year Kynar 500® finish warranty is available upon request.

Anodized finishes are also available and come with a 5 year warranty (no warranty available for coil anodized finishing. Post-coat/Class 1 Batch Anodized is available with a 5 Year warranty with an option to increase to a 10 Year warranty for an upcharge).

Custom Capabilities:

Radius and specially fabricated products are available to meet the unique needs of each project.

Accessories:

Factory fabricated miters, scuppers and drainage accessories provide a cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing appearance. This eliminates the need for field fabrication, providing time and labor savings.

Standard Sizes:

The system features a 2 ⅜" overall rise above the roof line. All standard sizes are measured to include the full outside dimension of the product, including the cant. It is available in standard sizes of 5 ¼", 6 ¾", 8 ¼", 9 ¾", 11 ¼" and 12 ¾.
