Vistacool® Subtly Reflective, Color-Enriched Glasses
With todays emphasis on sustainable design and daylighting, architectural glasses that offer high levels of visible light transmittance are in demand. However, traditional reflective glasses produce a mirror-like appearance that may not always meet your design vision. For this reason Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) has developed Vistacool Subtly Reflective Color-Enriched glasses which not only transmit generous levels of light, but also provide color neutrality which amplifies and enriches the tint of the glass substrate underneath.
Vistacool Azuria Glass
Vistacool Azuria glass offers an exceptionally rich and soothing aqua-blue appearance, together with excellent VLT of 44% when teamed with Sungate 500 glass in a standard one-inch insulating glass unit. With a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.29, this combination produces an LSG ratio of 1.53, among the highest of any reflective glass on the market.
Vistacool Solargray Glass
Vistacool Solargray® features an elegant light gray tint that delivers relatively high levels of interior brightness together with exceptional solar control characteristics. Combined with Solarban 70XL glass in a one-inch insulating glass unit, Vistacool Solargray provides VLT of 25% and a SHGC of 0.20, which yields an LSG ratio of 1.24 that is just shy of being spectrally selective.
Vistacool Pacifica Glass
Vistacool Pacifica glass offers a richer blue appearance than Vistacool Azuria, along with a SHGC of 0.19 when joined in a one-inch insulating glass unit with Solarban 70XL glass. This exceptional solar control, the best of all the Vistacool glasses, combines with a VLT of 24% to generate a nearly spectrally selective LSG ratio of 1.24.
Vistacool Atlantica Glass
Vistacool Atlantica glass by PPG adds another color option to the Vistacool family of products with a lush emerald-green glass that is enriched by the Visatcool brands proprietary coating. As a moderately reflective glass, Vistacool Atlantica glass combines high visible light transmittance (VLT) with strong solar control performance, resulting in spectral selectivity in any climate zone.
