Structo-Base® Gypsum Plaster

For extremely high-strength, conventional plaster applications. May be hand- or machine-applied on gypsum, metal lath, clay tile, concrete, cinder block and other approved plaster bases.

Main Features

Structo-Base® Gypsum Plaster is USG’s strongest gypsum basecoat plaster. Ideally suited for environments subjected to the highest levels of abuse, it has excellent indentation and penetration resistance. USG Structo-Base® Gypsum Plaster provides a plastic working material that will conform to varied designs and:

  • Develops higher strengths than conventional plasters - up to 2800 psi compressive strength

  • Provides formulation advantages over standard gypsum basecoats in fire-rated assemblies

  • Offers sound reflection and isolation properties

  • May be hand- or machine-applied on gypsum, metal lath, clay tile, concrete, cinder block and other approved plaster bases

  • Can be mixed with sand in various proportions

  • Is ideal for high-abuse areas such as handball courts, USG Structocore® Systems (security walls), hospital corridors and schools

  • Recommended over metal lath with scratch and brown coats
