The Thermaxx WeatherMaxx Cover is a heavy-duty, convenient, & cost-effective weatherproof protective cover designed to shield actuators, water valves, gas meters, water meters, electrical equipment, and other important outdoor components from the harsh elements.
Use the WeatherMaxx Cover to protect your:
- actuators, pneumatic or electric
- outdoor electrical components and many more!
WeatherMaxx covers are commonly used on actuators or other equipment that can be damaged by rain, wind, snow, sleet, hail or harmful UV rays. Many manufacturers supply a “weather cover” for their actuators that are greatly affected by UV rays and break down over time rendering them useless.WeatherMaxx Covers are backed by our Thermaxx Jackets 5 Year Guarantee!
Why should you protect your actuator from the elements?
Actuator manufacturers such as Belimo, Johnson Controls, Bray, WellMark, MECO, Kimray, ASCO, Baumann, Culpes-Vulcan, Fisher, REXA, Leslie and a host of other companies rely on plastic “boxes” that are ruined by UV Rays. Once the weatherproof container is compromised the actuator gets very wet.
If the actuator is electronic, or has a sensitive electronic board, and moisture penetrates into that sensitive area the actuator will fail and the problems begin: unplanned shutdowns, no chilled water to keep the building cool, compromised building heat in the winter, or any number of anomalies.
What cover can withstand the harsh outdoor conditions & UV exposure?
Thermaxx has a solution for this vexing problem. It’s the simple, easy to use non-insulating WeatherMaxx cover. Simply put, the cover is made of 1700 Silicone Fiberglass Cloth and weighs 17 oz/sq yd. The Jacket is sewn with a 35lb. break strength Aramid, 92 commercial weight thread and is securely held onto the component with a 500lb. break strength 3/16” flat Aramid pull cord.
Custom WeatherMaxx Covers
The WeatherMaxx Cover comes in a variety of standard sizes and configuration of common components. However, we can also manufacture custom WeatherMaxx covers to fit any size or configuration as long as the temperature of the component is less than 450°F (232°C).
Our WeatherMaxx Cover is constructed of 17 oz/sq. yd 1700 Silicone Fiberglass Cloth, which is:
- resistant to severe chemical and temperature exposure
Easy to remove and replace, the WeatherMaxx Cover is safely secured via a flat Aramid pull cord.
