Tree Filter - Stormwater Management System
Open Box Forms
StormTree® is a stormwater management system that integrates common street trees with stormwater runoff collection and pollutant remediation through a variety of physical, chemical, and biological processes.
StormTree® is not a closed concrete box, therefore the amount of runoff treated is not based solely on the size of a concrete structure. StormTree® relies on direct infiltration, as well as an expanded engineered media layer to treat larger drainage areas.
Unlike closed concrete box systems, the StormTree® system has a unique open design which not only allows for direct vertical infiltration of “cleansed” stormwater to replenish the native groundwater, but also has side openings, to allow for additional infiltration, as well as allowing for unrestricted root growth to support healthy tree growth.
StormTree® systems are a cost-effective alternative to conventional stormwater box systems and can be designed and configured in multiple ways to handle your most challenging site constraints in the urban or suburban landscape. Design Services
We understand that the design engineer, architect, or land use planner must have all necessary support tools at their disposal to prepare a successful schedule of plans for stakeholders and to present to the regulatory authority for permitting.
StormTree® works with its clients every step of the way from the conceptual stage to the final design. We can provide plan ready design details to be included in your construction drawings.
Whether your project is an urban streetscape with multiple units, a hard to fit parking lot, island separator, or residential cul-de-sac, we have the plans and expertise to support your project goals.
Should you need to capture and manage one tenth of an acre of a retail parking lot, or several acres of a residential or commercial subdivision, we can provide a solution. We typically provide contractor support of our system installations at no additional cost.
