Vision Lite kit engineered for intrusion resistance. Kits are thru-bolted to the door but have a ‘snap’ cover for aesthetic appeal. Available with a ½” (13mm) or 1” (25mm) glass bite for ¼” (6.4mm), 5/16″ (8mm), 3/8″ (9.5mm), and 1” (25mm) thick glazing. Special-Lite partners with manufacturers of intrusion-resistant glazing (polycarbonate and glass) for the most effective design. Recommended to increase School Entrance Safety.
SecureLite is now available with integrated muntins.
Vision Lite Recommendations: - Consult the factory if the total vision lit area will exceed 50% of the foam area of the door.
- Avoid hardware conflicts by locating kits at least 8” (203mm) from the top of the door, 12” (305mm) from the bottom of the door, and 7” (178mm) from the sides of the door.
- Special hardware, such as concealed vertical rods, require engineering review when the cutout area is near the latch stile.
