For More Security, Durability, and Energy Efficiency Than Glass, Choose Panels

Special-Lite® Panels can provide an attractive and effective solution to broken glass problems while improving facility security. And with a little creativity, they can also add flair to your entrance designs. Our panels are made with the same face sheet materials as our flush doors and offer the same color and texture options to guarantee a perfect match. Choose from Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) or aluminum, depending on the demands of your particular application. These materials will not rust, chip, fade or peel, making our panels maintenance-free.

Panels can be made in thicknesses of 1/4″, 1″ or 1-3/4″, (6.4mm, 25mm or 44mm) in any size up to 4′ x 8′ (1219mm x 2438mm).

Features and Benefits

  • 1-3/4″ (44mm) thick panels feature wood perimeter frames and poured-in-place closed-cell polyurethane foam cores that increase strength and provide thermal insulation comparable to a door of the same type.
  • 1″ (25mm) panels have a closed-cell polyurethane foam core bonded between the outer skins.
  • 1/4″ (6.4mm) thick panels are ideal for small areas not requiring thermal insulation. The two face sheets are bonded back-to-back, and aluminum panels include .125″ (3.2mm) tempered hardboard between face sheets for added rigidity.
