FTS - Fabric Tension System
The Fabric Tension System (FTS) uses advanced motor technology to create tension using two motors. This typically allows the fabric band to appear more flat and straight than a spring-tension system when in the closed position.FTS Motor Controller and Wiring
FTS is the perfect system for larger shades and those with an extreme draw distance. There are two levels of adjustable tension in an FTS shade system. The Dynamic Tension, for as the shade is running across the opening, to keep pillowing to a minimum. Also the Final Tension which is added after the shade stops moving and the motors pull slightly against each other to tighten the fabric band.
A specialized motor controller and wiring method is required in the FTS system to connect, control, and synchronize the dual motors. The electrical enclosure that houses the controller board is 8" W x 10" H x 4" D and it has standard knock-outs on each side. One control box will be used for each shade, each shade will have two motors (one in the fabric tube, and one in the cable take-up tube).Aluminum and Wood Louver System
Each motor will require a 5-conductor home-run electrical connection to the FTS motor controller box. The power to operate the motors, 120VAC, also is run to the controller along with at least 3-conductor low-voltage control wires for the switch or connection to an automation system.
The FTS motor controller should remain accessible for service and the adjustment for the two tension settings, set on the circuit board via potentiometers.
This skylight sun control system is a non retractable louver system that can be mounted on any plane of any angle, curved conditions and unusual shape window configurations. These precision systems are designed to perform with maximum efficiency. The tilt angle is from 0-90 degrees angling from fully open to fully closed.
• Manual - Crank operator with detachable crank hook and handle
• Motorized - Somfy tubular motor
Motor Controls - LV switches, radio & IR remote, sun sensor, home automation and audio visual interface. Shades can operate individually and / or in groups.
Rack Arm - consists of an aluminum bar fitted with pivots to which the louvers are attached.
Various slat sizes are available with optional materials and finishes.
