Sarnatherm ISO is a rigid closed cell polyisocyanurate insulation board

Sarnatherm® ISO tapered is a sloped rigid closed cell polyisocyanurate insulation board with fiber reinforced felt facers. Sarnatherm Tapered is designed to achieve positive drainage, prevent ponding water, and is suitable for use in new construction and re‐roofing with Sarnafil® or Sikaplan® membranes.

  • Factory tapered panels
  • Manufactured with no CFCs or HCFCs
  • Virtually no GWP (global warming potential)
  • Zero ODP (ozone depletion potential)
  • Compatible with Sarnafil and Sikaplan membranes

Usage

Wherever insulation is required within a conventional roof assembly to achieve sloped drainage requirements. Areas of Application
  • New Roofs
  • Recover Roofs
  • Mechanically Attached Systems
  • Adhered Systems

Storage Conditions

Factory‐applied packaging is intended only for protection during transit. When stored outdoors or on the job site, the insulation should be stacked on pallets at least 4" (102 mm) above ground level and completely covered with a weatherproof covering such as a tarpaulin. The temporary factory‐applied packaging should be slit or removed to prevent accumulation of condensation. Refer to PIMA Technical Bulletin 109: Storage and Handling Recommendations for Polyiso Roof Insulation.

System Information

System Structure

Sarnatherm Tapered is installed by a Sika Authorized Applicator. Sarnatherm Tapered may be installed by mechanical attachment to the roof deck with Sarnafasteners and Sarnaplates, by attachment with Sarnacol board adhesive, or by hot asphalt depending on project requirements and specifications. Roof insulation which has become wet or damaged should be removed and replaced with solid, dry insulation. Contact Sika Corporation - Roofing Technical Department regarding alternative methods of attachment.
