Open Front Lockers Standard SpecsOpen Front Lockers are the perfect fit for athletic team rooms, first responder facilities, or any other application where easy access to uniforms and equipment are needed. These lockers can be configured to comply with your specific needs and are available in 24 colors, as well as any custom color.
The standard Open Front locker is made from premium cold-rolled ASTM A1008 CS Type B with welded construction.
The perforated diamond sides (standard) create full ventilation while giving each user a personal space. Open Front lockers have multiple options available such as:
- Full or half-width security box
- Full or half-width shelf
- Footlocker with a hinged, reinforced seat, lockable to secure personal items
- Multiple Ventilation Options for sides, security box, and foot-locker
- Full-sized door (will full-length continuous hinge)
The front of the footlocker is recessed for an external padlock and saves floor space by eliminating the nuisance of open locker doors and the need of locker room benches.

Product Fabrication InformationMaterial: Steel parts shall be mild cold‐rolled commercial quality steel, capable of taking a high grade enamel finish. Steel mandrel rivets, zinc plated truss, fin head bolts and hex nuts.
ALL WELDEDConstruction: Pre assemble lockers by welding into one piece structures in groupings most practical for job requirements, welds free of burrs; max width of groups to be 54”; no bolts, nuts or rivets allowed in assembly of main locker groups.
Body: Steel specially formed for added strength and rigidity and to ensure tight joints at fastening points.
KNOCKED DOWNConstruction: Lockers shall be built on a unit principal with common intermediate uprights separating units. Locker body assembly using rivets and/or nuts and bolts.
Body: Hole spacing in locker body construction: not exceeding 9”. Steel specially formed for added strength and rigidity and to ensure tight joint at fastening points
ALL WELDED & K.D.Door Frames: Shall be 16 gauge formed in a channel shape.
Ventilation: Front panel to have a pattern of mini louvers, Security Box door solid with diamond perforated sides.
Interior Equipment: Full width shelf, coat rod, and two single prong hooks.
Box Lockers Security Box: Above Shelf. Door shall be 14 gauge steel, punched for built in lock or padlock. Lock hole cover with door pull shall be provided for padlock use. Hinges shall be 16 gauge continuous and riveted to 16 gauge welded frame
Foot Locker: With hinged bench seat, padlock hasp and stainless steel strike. Hinge 16 gauge continuous and riveted to horizontal panel.
Number Plates: Provide holes for attaching number plates. Each locker shall have a polished aluminum number plate riveted to door face with black numerals 1/2” high.
Finish: All components shall have a 2mm hybrid epoxy/polyester powder, electrostatically applied to ensure a uniform finished and baked to cure.
Submittals: Submit under provisions of Section 01 33 00. Shop Drawings shall show dimensioned plans, elevations, and sections.

ADA Compliance: Lockers are to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility guidelines. They shall have recessed handles and shall be single tier or lower opening of a double tier locker. Locker bottom shall be a minimum of 15” off the floor. Single tier lockers shall have a shelf 48” off the floor. Doors assigned for handicapped use shall have an appropriate symbol sign.
ExecutionInstallation: Lockers shall be installed in compliance with Lockers Manufacturing’s installation instructions and shall be level and plumb with flush surfaces and rigid attachment to anchoring surfaces.
Assembly: Assembly by bolting is acceptable, Lockers Manufacturing recommends assembly by riveting. Rivets provide solid permanent fastening but allow for faster removal by drilling where future rearrangement of lockers or replacement of damaged parts may be required.
Anchoring: Anchor lockers to floor and wall
Adjust and Clean: Adjust doors and latches to operate without binding. Verify that latches are operating satisfactorily. Adjust built-in locks to prevent binding of dial or key and ensure smooth operation prior to substantial completion.
Touch up: With factory supplied paint and repair or replace damaged products before substantial completion.
Protection: Protect installed products until completion of the project.
Delivery, Storage and Handling: Store product in manufacturers unopened packaging until ready for installation to protect the locker finish and adjacent surfaces from damage.
