Robert Venable Park
Robert Venable Park in Brooklyn, New York, officially reopened after an $8 million renovation. The centerpiece of the park is an anatomy-themed playground designed by the New York-based artist Mimi Gross. A PlayBooster® playstructure has been reinterpreted to engage the senses, including a sense of humor. Two slides offer kids ages 5 to 12 a unique ride through nostrils that they won’t soon forget. Additionally, visitors can balance on a pair of 8-foot-long human feet, climb on a spinal column and interact with colorful panels showcasing the heart, ribcage, brain and other body parts.
Age Ranges: 5 to 12 Years
Design Standards: ASTM
Installed: January 2000
