Fabsorb Sidewall Isolation for Foundations

KEY FEATURES/BENEFITS

  • Natural frequency ranges from 11 to 50 Hz, depending on load and type of material
  • Impervious to most chemicals
  • Performs consistently over a wide range of temperatures and time
  • Supplied in sheets for easy installation

Fabreeka developed Fabsorb as a foundation isolation material, primarily for side wall isolation. It absorbs machine-induced energy, limits the transmission of higher frequency disturbances and provides isolation from ambient and induced shock and vibration, which otherwise would affect the accuracy of the machine being installed.

In comparison to felt-like material which tends to stiffen over time, and therefore loses its original isolation characteristics, Fabsorb is not susceptible to deterioration through water absorption and wicking. It is a unique, medium-density, closed-cell foam material specifically designed for vibration isolation applications of support foundations for machine tools, shock testing equipment, grinders and similar equipment.

Fabsorb is regularly used as side wall isolation together with our FAB-EPM or FAB-EFP foundation isolation material covering the base of the foundation or inertia mass.

Try our sizing tool to determine which product is the most efficient foundation isolation solution for your requirements.
