Fire Rated Coiling Doors - UL Listed Roll Up Fire Doors

In the event of a fire, our roll up fire doors are engineered to save lives and protect property by compartmentalizing building areas and isolating the incident. In addition to preventing the migration of fire, they also provide security and access control in wall openings that are not a required means of egress.

These fire rated roll up doors provide the opportunity for simple, reliable, fail safe activation that seals the openings at the first hint of a fire.

Fire doors are manufactured to your specifications to seal these openings where rated doors are required by building codes when insurance fire safety standards mandates must be met.

SmokeShield® for Fire Rated Coiling Doors

Our fire rated rolling doors are also available with an optional SmokeShield® package. This package adds smoke and draft control which is listed to UL1784, assuring that smoke is compartmentalized with the fire and not spread throughout the facility.

Our rolling fire door is UL listed, Factory Mutual Approved and listed with the California Office of the State Fire Marshall. It is also listed for fire protection ratings of 45 minute, 90 minute, 3 and 4 hours.

Safety and Protection

Sensing Edge - Entrapment Protection Device

Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille ensuring a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance. With flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges provide maximum protection while withstanding the elements.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

To determine the best entrapment device for your application, check out our Entrapment Device Protection Overview document.

Entrapment Protection Devices

Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.

Guide-Mounted Interlocks

An electrical cutout switch to prevent motor operation if locking device is not first disengaged.

Rolling Door Protector (RDP)

The RDP eliminates costly fork truck damage to coiling doors by creating a physical barrier at the top of the door that absorbs impacts.

Static Wind Load

Can be configured to withstand the full range of specific wind load requirements including missile impact ratings.
