CrossingGard® Door with ThreatProtect™

Take your building’s security to the next level with the CrossingGard® Door with ThreatProtect™. Intelligent technology pairs with your existing alarm system to respond quickly in emergencies. During lockdown events and procedures, the door closes to secure and zone your building. In other emergencies, the door opens to give evacuees a safe exit.

CrossingGard® Door with ThreatProtect™ comes standard with a UL-325-compliant safety edge, reliable battery backup, and a key override.

Overhead rolling doors are built tough for both interior and exterior applications. Solid steel slats create a strong physical and visual barrier to prevent unwanted entry. Also available in a grille, insulated version or with a perforated curtain to provide visibility for first responders. These doors are the solution for applications that need to create zoned areas, provide emergency egress pathways, and meet the need for daily public access control.

The CrossingGard Door with ThreatProtect comes standard with a steel counter-balance shaft and structural steel guides with powder coating to match curtain

Curtains are Galvanized steel with GalvaNex polyester enamel finish in Gray, Tan, White or Brown.

The bottom bar comes standard heavy-duty extruded aluminum in mill finish.

Operation

The specialized ThreatProtect Operator features a battery backup that ensures the door will continue to operate in the event of a power outage.

This door also comes standard with a UL325 compliant sensing edge that prevents the door from closing on an object.

Safety & Protection

Sensing Edge - Entrapment Protection Device

Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille ensuring a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance. With flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges provide maximum protection while withstanding the elements.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

LED Visual Light Kit

The LED Light Kit provides a high-visible status indication for overhead doors and grilles. Designed for challenging environments like fire and emergency services, parking garages, and warehouses, the effective LED light strips limit downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.

Magic Switch

A touchless activation device designed to open and close doors with the wave of a hand. It's compatible with all operators that have a primary entrapment device and are configured for momentary contact to close. The Magic Switch is easy to retrofit in an existing application and features a clean, stainless steel face plate.

Seismic Performance Validation

We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall or Between Jambs to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.
