SUPER-SPAN™ and SUPER-PLATE® Steel Bridge Structures
Large Span and Flexible Design-The Most Widely Used Long-Span System in History. SUPER-SPAN structures utilize MULTI-PLATE plates and special features that allow for a large family of shapes. With spans up to 50 feet, SUPER-SPAN structures are some of the most widely accepted long-span, corrugated steel bridge structures in the world.
SUPER-PLATE structures are long span structures, similar to the SUPER-SPAN, but with basic plate material consisting of aluminum rather than steel. These structures add both thrust beams and reinforcing ribs to conventional aluminum structural plate to achieve larger sizes. Available shapes include low and high profile arch and horizontal ellipses.
Benefits of the SUPER-PLATE and SUPER-SPAN Systems:
- Low profile arch
- High profile arch
- Horizontal ellipse
- Pear and pear arch
- Buried Bridge Structure - Reduces maintenance costs and lowers life cycle costs as there are no bridge deck or joints at the deck/roadway interface.
- Modular Bridge System - Rapid installation results in reduced overall project costs, delays and detours.
- Designed “Site Specific” - Meets your site needs in full compliance with AASHTO, ASTM & AREMA design standards for highway and railway use.
- Easy Site-Adaptability - Flexible layout options to fit within the right-of-way - curve the structure with a stream or adjust for vertical and horizontal clearance requirements.
