Safety Radiation Shielding Glass

Our Safety Radiation Shielding Glass is a high quality optical grade lead barium glass with more than 60% heavy metal oxide including at least 55% lead oxide with sizes up to 96”x48”. This glass is a multilayer laminated glass which includes both lead glass laminated to other glass. The glass offers visual clarity and high light transmittance, but does not discolor due to radiation.

Our Standard Safety lead glass consists of a piece of 7mm thick lead glass laminated to a 3mm piece of float glass. It shields up to 1/16” (1.6mm) @ 150Kv X-Ray Peak voltage. This glass is used to shield a verity of x-rays in medical and industrial facilities.

Our Premium Safety lead glass consists of lead glass laminated between panels of protective sheet glass. The outer protective glass panels will not stain or discolor, even in contact with chemicals or if it is wiped with a wet cloth. This allows the glass to be cleaned using a glass cleaners and detergents. This glass comes in three shielding levels.
