The Art Institute of Chicago: The Modern Wing

The Art Institute of Chicago: The Modern Wing

The New Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago is a 264,000 sq. ft. extension that houses the museum’s modern European art collections. Renzo Piano architects designed this extension to “complete the cultural and urban campus of the Institute.” Anticipating the heavy traffic of art lovers that this new wing will bring, C/S PediTred Low Profile entrance grids with carpet inserts were specified for the project. The PediTred LP G3 will keep the museum’s new wing clean and dry even during Chicago’s snowiest winters.
