The Art Institute of Chicago: The Modern WingThe New Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago is a 264,000 sq. ft. extension that houses the museums modern European art collections. Renzo Piano architects designed this extension to complete the cultural and urban campus of the Institute. Anticipating the heavy traffic of art lovers that this new wing will bring, C/S PediTred Low Profile entrance grids with carpet inserts were specified for the project.
