Product Presentation ScanRoof, a simulated tile profile, is an innovative metal roof panel. Its unique feature, an integral purlin, adds structural integrity to the panel. Since ScanRoof is a structural panel, it can span trusses at 4 ft. o.c. without the need for sub-sheathing. The result is direct savings in both material and labor costs. ScanRoof has a UL90 rating for wind resistance and a Class A and B fire rating. Since it is lightweight and easy to install, ScanRoof is ideal for re-roof applications. Weighing only 1.4 lbs/ft², compared to clay tile that weighs 9 lbs/ft², ScanRoof can be installed directly over an existing roof. This saves labor costs by eliminating the need for tear-off and disposal of old roofing materials. ScanRoof is energy efficient. The tiles design allows air to flow between the roof and deck making it self-ventilating. The air space also acts as an insulator. Additionally, metal will reflect the suns rays and release built-up heat quicker than other roofing materials. Whether for renovation or new construction, ScanRoof offers a distinctive accent to any building. Sizes and Profiles: ScanRoof panels (SCP163) measure 13-10 wide by 21 high. Actual exposure is 13-2 by 16-1/2. The configuration is a European style tile, with 21 modules (7-7/8) per panel. Composition and Materials: Panels are roll-formed from 24 gauge Metallic Coated Steel. Color and Finish: A choice of 26 colors is available in the Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® based finish. (Request color chart or chips.) Texture is a smooth finish. Specifications Note to specifiers: ScanRoof serves the structural and architectural needs of roofing, fascia and mansard systems. Warranty The Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® based paint finish carries a thirty (30) year limited warranty against chipping, cracking, peeling, chalking and fading. Availability and Cost ScanRoof panels are readily available through ATAS product distributors. A complete line of accessories in matching or coordinating colors is available to complete a project. Valleys, Ridge Caps, Gable and Eave trims are formed to customer specifications. Coil stock or flat sheet can be provided for field fabrication of custom flashings. Cost:
Installation ScanRoof has an integral purlin, which allows maximum spacing between trusses. Panels are installed horizontally from eave to ridge. Minimum recommended slope is 3 in 12. Installation manuals and videos or hands-on training through seminars are available. Contact ATAS technical service advisors for information. Maintenance ScanRoof panels are virtually maintenance free. The high quality finish will not fade, chalk, crack or peel, and since the substrate is metal, it will not warp, rot or break. Surface residue may be easily removed by conventional cleaning methods. Minor scratches may be touched up with a matching paint, available from the manufacturer. Technical Services Complete technical information and literature is available from ATAS International, Inc. ATAS will assist with design ideas and estimates and offers shop-drawing services.
