Stopper^® Stations

Here is a full line of multipurpose push button units that can be used for fire pull stations, access control buttons and can be easily customized for your applications. Most are UL, cUL Listed and CSFM approved. Because they incorporate a unique patented curved design that helps greatly to stop any accidental activation, they are ideal for ADA-compatible use. Each polycarbonate station housing is offered in the customer's choice of color. You may also select wording in any language or function as well as the type of switch/button activation – momentary mushroom, back-lit momentary button, push & turn, push & key release, key-to-activate or pneumatic adjustable timer.

Until universal standards are established for push button units and protective covers, color selection is left up to each individual user. However, there are certain trends that have evolved in recent years. Based upon these and current practice within the U.S. and Canada, we offer the following suggestions.

Normally used for anything associated with fire protection.

Commonly used for "Exit" or "Entrance" or medical applications. It's also used for a wide range of access control applications.

It's often used for "Plant Evacuation" or "Extinguishment" in kitchens, museums and other sites where carbon dioxide, halon, or other gases are used to combat fires.

White is used for a number of different applications. It is most commonly selected for "Safety Shut-Off" push button units and custom applications.

Usually associated with police, crime or emergency related applications. Typical examples might be "Emergency" or "Emergency Exit."

Now there is a way for buttons to be mounted in small areas where space is limited. These ADA Compliant, multipurpose buttons incorporate a unique slim and narrow design that helps dramatically where space is a minimum. The button does not require an electrical box, which allows it to be placed in areas not large enough for normal sized buttons. Stopper Station Slim Line can be used for an exit door, access control or as an emergency power off button. The polycarbonate is backed by a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use (one year on electro mechanical and electronic components). Housing unit available in blue, green or white.
