The "Pipe Boot" is an economical
flashing designed for single pipe penetrations. The unit will accommodate
all pipe sizes: 1 3/4" and 2 3/4" on Small Pipe Boot, 1" through 6" on
Medium Pipe Boot and 8" to 12" on Large Pipe Boot. Pipe Boots are available
in EPDM, TPO, Neoprene or Hypalon material. The conically shaped steps
of the Portals Plus Pipe Boots will securely seal all pipes and its large
double thick molded rib at the top of each step offers supreme tear resistance
and reinforcement, as well as a cutting guide. Utilizing the Pipe Boot
eliminates the workmanship error in field fabrication and makes flashing
pipes a clean, consistent approach. Adapters available for round, square
tube and angle iron available to fit most pipe boots.
Furnish and install Pipe Boots as
manufactured by Portals Plus Inc., Bensenville, IL at all penetrations
on the roof, walls and floors as shown on drawings.
The Pipe Boots shall be molded of
.060" thick EPDM (Ethylene Popylene Diene Monomer), TPO, Neoprene or Hypalon
and shall be ozone and ultraviolet resistant with a serviceable temperature
range of -60 degrees F to +270 degrees F minimum. The base flange shall
be feather edged and the unit will have conically shaped steps with double
thick molded ribs to seal each pipe size. Stainless Steel Snap Lock Clamps
shall be provided with each pipe boot. Sealing units to roof shall be done
in accordance with roofing manufacturer's recommendations.
The Pipe Boot shall be capable of
sealing one single pipe, 1 3/4" and 2 3/4" on small 1" through 6" on Medium
and 8" through 12" on Large Boot.
