CureCrete 936
Latex-Portland Cement Mortar System

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
C-Cure’s latex-Portland cement mortar system is a premium additive, which when added to CureCrete powder provides a dry-set mortar for the installation of tiles in demanding exterior and interior conditions. Because of its superior bond and flexural strengths, it is ideally suited for areas subjected to movement, vibration and thermal shock.

BASIC USE
CureCrete is a cost effective system for large, heavily trafficked installations. It is used as a bond coat for setting absorptive, semi-vitreous and vitreous tiles for service in residential and commercial use, for both floor and wall installations. It is used in a mortar bed as thin as 3/32" (2.4 mm) after the tiles have been properly embedded. Because of the special latex formulation, this dry-set mortar more easily adjusts to tile and substrate expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes without shearing. This product is non-staining, non-toxic, non-shrinking and is not affected by prolonged contact with water even under freezing conditions. This product is more waterproof than conventional dry-set mortar systems, but should not be considered as a waterproof barrier.

AREA OF USE
Suitable backings, when properly prepared, include plumb and true masonry, concrete, gypsum board (dry interior walls only), cementitious backer units, cured Portland cement mortar beds, brick, ceramic tile, stone and open cell polystyrene.

LIMITATIONS
C-Cure’s latex-mortar system must not be used directly over wood, asphalt sheeting, vinyl covered wall board, Masonite®, cement asbestos board, metal, plastic or gypsum mortar beds. Use in a temperature range above 40°F (4°C). (Do not allow mortar to freeze for the first 72 hours.) When used to install tile in an area that will be continually wet (e.g. swimming pools, and gang showers, etc.) it is recommended that the complete installation shall be cured a minimum of 14 days and allowed to thoroughly dry before exposure to water.

APPLICABLE STANDARDS
Conforms to requirements for latex-Portland cement mortars as found in ANSI A118.4, ANSI A108.5 and C.T.I. 64-1 when mixed with CureCrete powder.
Color – White liquid. Eventual color will be determined by choice of cement, white or gray.
Texture – Heavy bodied liquid.

CureMix 937
Latex Admixture

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CureMix Admixture is a blend of latex-emulsions and special chemical modifiers formulated for the addition to C-Cure’s dry-set mortars, grouts and underlayment systems. This admixture when used in lieu of water will significantly improve the bond strength and flexibility of mortar systems to particularly hard and smooth surfaces. In addition, it will increase a mortar’s internal adhesion, frost resistance and flexural strength. It also inhibits the penetration of water or other liquids.

BASIC USE
CureMix may be used with all non-polymer modified dry-sets and grouts that will be used in installations subjected to subfreezing conditions, heavy traffic and chemical abuse. It is suitable for both exterior and interior use. CureMix Admixture must be used in C-Cure’s Latex Underlayment systems.

As a replacement for water in Portland cement/sand (“mud”) beds it enhances the water retention for better hydration, lowers the water/cement ratio, improves the compressive and flexural strengths and reduces its permeability from moisture.

LIMITATIONS
CureMix Admixture must not be diluted with water when used with dry-sets or underlayments. Used with grouts, it may be diluted with 1 qt. (.95 L) of water per 1 gal. (3.78 L) of CureMix.

When using this liquid, do not use a high speed drill type mixer. This will entrap air, which will weaken the mortar.

When used to install tile in an area that will be continually wet (e.g. swimming pools, and gang showers, etc.) it is recommended that the complete installation shall be cured a minimum of 14 days and allowed to thoroughly dry before exposure to water.

APPLICABLE STANDARDS
When used with one of C-Cure’s dry-set mortars, it will meet the requirements for a latex-Portland cement mortar as found in ANSI A118.4, ANSI A108.5 and C.T.I.64-1. As an additive to C-Cure grout, it meets the requirements of ANSI.

CureCrylic Ultra 940
Acrylic Latex Admixture and Bonding Agent

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CureCrylic Ultra is an acrylic polymer emulsion specifically formulated for use as an additive to Portland cement based construction repair grouts and coatings. CureCrylic Ultra significantly improves bond and compressive strength and provides higher resistance to thermal shock. Because of its acrylic base, CureCrylic Ultra enhances the appearance of the grout and cement coatings because it reduces fading caused by ultraviolet rays.

BASIC USE
To improve adhesion and physical characteristics for both interior and exterior applications, CureCrylic Ultra should be used as a bonding agent admixture for plaster coats, masonry mortar, construction grouts or coatings prior to applications to dense masonry or concrete substrates.

CureCrylic Ultra, when used as an admixture, will prevent early dry out for the repairing or coating of porous masonry or concrete. This retains the necessary water for proper hydration of the Portland cement.
