All Star Jr.

The All Star Jr. Locker is the little brother of the full size All Star. The construction and features are exactly the same except the size. Our most popular sports locker is widely used in high school and collegiate sports programs across the globe.

PART 2 – PRODUCTS

MATERIALS

Expanded Metal: 3/4" mesh flattened carbon steel, 10 gauge minimum.

Steel: All sheet steel used in fabrication shall be prime grade electrogalvanized steel free from scale and imperfections and capable of taking a heavy coat of high gloss baked enamel.

Fasteners: Zinc plated steel; bolt heads to be slotless type.

Equipment: Hooks of zinc plated steel. Hang rods to be Stainless Steel.

Number Plates: To be polished aluminum with not less than 3/8" high engraved numbers attached to door with two aluminum rivets. Numerals to be silver on black background.

FABRICATION:

GENERAL: All lockers shall be factory-assembled, of all MIG welded construction, in multiple column units to meet job conditions. All locker components shall be fabricated from prime grade Electrogalvanized steel. Assembly of locker bodies by means of bolts, screws, or rivets will not be permitted. Welding of knockdown locker construction is not acceptable. Grind exposed welds and metal edges flush and make safe to touch.

FINISHING: All locker parts to be cleaned and coated after fabrication with a seven stage zinc/iron phosphate solution to inhibit corrosion, followed by a coat of high grade enamel electrostatically sprayed and baked at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 30 minutes to provide a tough durable finish. GENERAL: Lockers shall be SUPERIOR "ALL-STAR LOCKERS" as manufactured by List Industries Inc.

FRAME / VERTICAL SIDE PANELS: Shall be of 16 gauge electrogalvanized sheet steel framed by 16 gauge hollow "T" tubular sections and channel frame members designed to enclose all four edges of the side panel with the entire assembly MIG welded to form a rigid frame for each locker. The channel frame members are welded to the front and rear vertical frame members to create and anchor bearing surface of 1-1/4 inches wide x 22" deep at each side panel.

TOP: Shall be formed of 12 gauge electrogalvanized front channel brace securely welded to frame assembly for rigid unit construction. The rear top to be 16 gauge electrogalvanized steel.

BACKS: Shall be formed from one piece 16 gauge electrogalvanized steel and securely MIG welded to side frames.

SECURITY BOX: To be formed of 16 gauge electrogalvanized steel and securely MIG welded in place. The Security Box Door to be 14 gauge electrogalvanized steel with Armor Vent perforations. A continuous hinge shall be MIG welded to door and riveted to the body of the box. Doors to have a combination friction catch / door pull and strike plate.

SECURITY BOX SHELF: Shall be 16 gauge Electrogalvanized steel and be securely MIG welded to locker body. Location to be 12" down from locker top.

FOOT LOCKER: Seat shall be formed of 14 gauge electrogalvanized steel with stiffener sections for reinforcement and be prepared for padlock. Foot Locker front panel shall be 14 ga. electrogalvanized steel with Armor Vent perforations. A rubber bumper is to be mounted to locker back to cushion seat in the open position.

INTEGRAL FRAME LOCKER BASE: 14 gauge electrogalvanized 4" high front base panel MIG welded to the vertical side panel frame members.

LOCKER ACCESSORIES:

LOCKS: Padlocks supplied by owner.

EQUIPMENT: Furnish each locker with the following items, unless otherwise shown.

Name Plate Holder: Each locker shall be equipped with a name or number card holder of 20 ga. electrogalvanized steel.

Clothes Rod and Mirror: Each locker shall have a full width stainless steel clothes rod and a fold out polished stainless steel Mirror attached to unit frame.

Clothes Hooks: Each locker to have two heavy-duty clothes hooks securely riveted to locker back.

FILLERS: Provide where indicated, of not less than 20 gauge sheet steel, factory fabricated and finished to match lockers.

EXECUTION

INSTALLATION

GENERAL: Installation shall be in strict conformance with referenced standards, the manufacturer's written directions, as shown on the drawings and as herein specified.

PLACEMENT: Lockers shall be set in place, plumb, level, rigid, flush and securely attached to the wall (or bolted together if back-to-back) and anchored to the floor or base according to manufacturer's specifications.

ANCHORAGE: About 48" o.c., unless otherwise recommended by manufacturer, and apply where necessary to avoid metal distortion, using concealed fasteners. Friction cups are not acceptable.

TRIM: Sloping tops, metal fillers and end panels shall be installed using concealed fasteners. Provide flush, hairline joints against adjacent surfaces.

ADJUSTMENT

GENERAL: Upon completion of installation, inspect lockers and adjust as necessary for proper door operation. Touch-up scratches and abrasions to match original finish.

In the interest of safety, all Superior lockers must be securely anchored to the floor and/or wall.
