ThyCurb Retro-Mate™
Replace old rooftop units in hours, not days! ThyCurb Retro-Mate™ is a custom fabricated roof curb designed to adapt existing curbs to fit new rooftop equipment. Ductwork for the existing unit can be left in place with all of the transition work done within the Retro-Mate™ curb. Constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel and factory insulated, Retro-Mate™ maintains roofing integrity and eliminates costly support steel reconstruction. Labor time required for the replacement is hours instead of days. ThyCurb maintains an extensive library of new and discontinued rooftop unit literature, allowing us to accurately match the dimensions of the new rooftop unit with the existing curb, without extensive field measurements. Retro-Mate™ curbs can be fabricated for new units that are larger or smaller than existing curbs. Standard Construction
Specifications
Prefabricated rooftop adaptors to be manufactured of prime galvanized steel construction, 18 or 14 gauge as required, meeting ASTM A-446, 525 & 527, with welded corners and with seams joined by continuous water and air tight welds. Adaptors shall be insulated and internally reinforced with T-bars 36" on center, and include necessary block-offs to allow use of existing ductwork. Manufacturer to field verify all existing rooftop units to insure proper fit between existing rooftop equipment base to new rooftop unit.
