Micro Blinds are designed to give optimum visibility with the most desired openness. The delicate and esthetically pleasing appearance that Micro translates to the vista is obtained by the low contour design of Micro’s ½” slim slat. The trim 1” x 1” steel head rail accommodates the ever-reliable component system. Micro blinds are enhanced with aluminum slats in designer colors and color coordinated plastic components. Wire Incline and
Skylight Blinds

1” Wire incline aluminum blinds are recommended for windows up to a 45º from the vertical. Wire incline blinds with 1” slats in .006 gauge or optional .008 gauge aluminum are fully operational that can be both tilted and raised. The steel bottom rail rides on nearly invisible steel wires and is kept continually rigid with the utilization of the fully adjustable AWC Tensioner System.

Skylight (dual head rail) blinds are required when window slopes are greater than 45º from the vertical. The dual head rail blind system has a hidden spring tensioner that keeps the slats from bowing in extreme conditions where the windows are up to a 90º incline from the vertical. Skylight blinds are available with a tilt only function and operate effortlessly by turning the attached ring inserted into the end of the clutch tilter.

Design Guidelines

Proper window coverings can control thermal heat buildup and loss. Horizontal blinds, vertical blinds, and shades in combination with reflective or low solar emission glazing systems reduce heat transference into the interior room.

In addition they prevent loss of heating and cooling by creating an insulating factor. Tilting options are available to help reduce the heat buildup between the glazing and the blinds, while permitting desired direction of light “control.” Proper window covering choices can help reduce the heating and cooling costs.
