SGG SWISSFLAM N2 is comprised of two or more layers of laminated safety glass
separated by clear, colorless intumescent interlayers. In case of fire, the
interlayers absorb the energy from the fire, limiting the temperature rise to
the non-fire side, protecting people and property. Benefits include safety glazing
characteristics, high performance sound reduction properties and improved U-values.
- Fire-rated for up to 2 hours (with Hose Stream)
- Protects against fire, smoke, and radiant and conducted heat
- Optically clear and “wire-free” aesthetics
- Meets positive pressure requirements (UL 10c /UBC 7-2)
- High-impact, safety-rated, laminated glass (CPSC CAT II) for use in accidental
human impact safety locations
- Can be etched/sandblasted
- For use in interior or exterior applications
– Insulating versions available
- Excellent sound-reduction properties
- Five-year limited warranty
- Manufactured in USA

SGG SWISSFLAM-45 N2 is comprised of two layers of laminated safety glass separated
by an intumescent interlayer. In case of fire, the interlayer absorbs the energy
from the fire, reducing the transmission of radiant heat to the nonfire side.
This permits the design a safer means of egress and separation distances.
- 45 minute fire-rated (with Hose Stream)
- Optically clear and “wire-free” aesthetics
- Meets positive pressure requirements (UL 10c/UBC 7-2)
- High-impact, safety-rated, laminated glass (CPSC CAT II) for use in accidental
human-impact safety locations.
- Installs into standard fire-rated doors and frames
- Can be etched/sandblasted
- Excellent sound-reduction properties

SGG SWISSFLAM N2 should be installed only into listed fire-rated door and frame
assemblies using suitable setting blocks and closed cell PVC tape, pure silicone,
or ceramic glazing tape. Allow for minimum edge coverage of 3/8" and a
minimum edge clearance of 1/4".
Check that opening is plumb and square. Inspect carefully before installation;
do not install glass that has visible edge or surface damage. Place setting
blocks (3" min) at sill, located at approximate quarter points. Check perimeter
clearance and adjust setting blocks as needed. Do not block the lite so as to
restrict movement due to thermal expansion; direct glass-to-perimeter frame
contact should be strictly avoided.
SGG SWISSFLAM N2 is an engineered specialty fire-resistant glazing material.
Certain optical and visual imperfections are inherent in the production process.
These characteristics may be evaluated according to the manufacturer’s
quality standards but do not impair the transparency or affect the performance
of the glass in case of fire, and shall not be considered cause for rejection.
Each lite of SGG SWISSFLAM N2 will be permanently labeled, in accordance with
NFPA 80, with the product and manufacturer’s name, testing laboratory,
fire rating and safety rating.
