Pelican Bay One Ultra-Premium Shakes and Scallops are constructed of polypropylene - a durable material that looks and feels like wood. Extra thick panels and a sharp, defined grain combine to create realistic cedar accent panels, but without all the maintenance. Pelican Bay One offers four authentic cedar reproductions:
Traditional Shakes and Hand-Split Shakes have an authentic grain, molded from actual cedar. Choose from the look of traditional cedar Shakes or rustic Hand-Split Shakes.
Cape Cod Shingles feature a uniform woodgrain texture that recreates the subtle elegance of natural wood.
Scallops can be used to highlight gables, window boxes, and eave edges or to create frieze boards and bands.
Pelican Bay One's exclusive features deliver superior performance and the classic look of cedar without the maintenance:
- Continuous Panel Lock. Integrated panel locking system secures panels tightly together for a strong, secure fit.
- Self-Concealing Seam Lock. Creates virtually no visible overlaps to detract from the overall appearance.
- Self-Aligning Nail Slots. This right-sized aligning method precisely sizes and spaces each nail slot to provide accurate and secure installations every time.
- Extended Length. Pelican Bay One's longer panel design delivers a cleaner exterior appearance by reducing panel seams.
- Season 4 Technology. A temperature chart on the nailing hem permits installers to match the current temperature to its comparable mark, allowing for ideal expansion and contraction in any season.
- Gale Force 5 Technology. In independent lab tests, Pelican Bay One remained secure in Category 5 hurricane-velocity winds.
