Heckmann Building Products provides a variety of different brick veneer systems for your anchoring requirements.

Steel Specifications

STAINLESS STEEL: Stainless Steel provides the greatest level of corrosion resistance in most building environments, and is especially recommended for use with light colored stone subject to staining.

Sheet: ASTM A 167 and ASTM A 240, Type 304, ASTM A 167-96.
Plate, Bars, and Shapes: ASTM A 167, ASTM A 666, ASTM A 276 or ASTM A 479, Type 304.
Wire: ASTM A 580, ASTM A 479, Type 304, Annealed and Ground.

HOT DIP GALVANIZED AFTER FABRICATION: ASTM A 153. These heavy zinc coatings are applied after fabrication to assure that welds and exposed edges are plated. They are frequently specified for exposed conditions and critical exterior wall applications. Specify type of uncoated steel to be used.

Class B-1: 2.00 avg. oz/sq.ft. zinc
Class B-2: 1.50 avg. oz/sq.ft. zinc
Class B-3: 1.30 avg. oz/sq.ft. zinc

MILL GALVANIZED: Mill Galvanized before fabrication, these coatings provide a balance between economy and corrosion resistance.

Sheets: ASTM A 653/A 653-M96.
Wire: ASTM A 641, ASTM A 641/A 641-M91.

Product Specifications

No. 213 Double Pintle Brick Veneer Anchor System: 14 gage backplate made for no insulation, 1" (25 mm), 1-1/2" (38 mm) and 2" (51 mm) insulation in Mill Galvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, and Stainless Steel.

No. 282 Double Pintle Wire Tie: 3/16" dia. (4.76 mm) wire in 3-1/4" (83 mm), 4-1/4" (108 mm), and 5-1/4" (133 mm) lengths. Pintles are 2-1/2" (63.5 mm) long. Mill Galvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, and Stainless Steel.

No. 315 Weld-On Anchor Rods: 1/4" dia. (6.35 mm) x 9" (229 mm) long or 5" (127 mm) long.

No. 315-B Weld-On Anchor Straps: 12 gage x 3/4" (19.05 mm) wide x 9" (229 mm) long or 7/8" (22.2 mm) wide x 6-1/2" (165 mm) long.

No. 315-C Screw-On Anchor Straps: 12 gage x 3/4" (19.05 mm) wide x 9" (229 mm) long or 7/8" (22.2 mm) wide x 6-1/2" (165 mm) long with two 1/4" dia. holes for attachment to backup.

No. 315-D Screw-On Anchor Plate: 12, 14, and 16 gage x 1-1/4" (32 mm) wide x 6" (152 mm) long.

No. 186 Corrugated Brick Veneer Anchor

Standard Size for all three: 3-1/2" (89 mm) long x 1-1/4" (32 mm) wide x 16 gage with 1-1/2" (38 mm) bend. Hole is 5/16" (7.94 mm) dia. and Keyhole is 1/4" (6.35 mm) x 1" (25.4 mm) long to fit over a No. 12 dia. screw. Available Stainless Steel, Hot Dip Galvanized after Fabrication, and Mill Galvanized.

No. 316 Triangle Wire Ties: 3/16" dia. (4.76 mm) wire. Also available in 1/4" dia. (6.35 mm). Closed end is 1" (25.4 mm) wide. Standard Lengths are 3" (76 mm), 4" (102 mm), 5" (127 mm), 7" (178 mm), 9" (229 mm), and 11" (279 mm).

No. 310 Hit Clip Anchor: Anchor is 2" (51 mm) long x 3/4" (19 mm) wide x 19 gage spring steel with corrosion resistant finish. Screw hole is 1/4" (6.35 mm) dia. No. 316 Triangle Ties snap into place. Order tie separately, specify size and type of steel required.

No. 103-C Triangular Wire Veneer Anchor: 12 gage anchor factory assembled to No. 316 Triangle Wire Ties (See above for tie sizes). Screw hole is 5/16" (7.94 mm). Available in Stainless Steel, Hot Dip Galvanized after Fabrication, or Mill Galvanized.

No. 317 Continuous Weld-On Anchor Rods: 1/4" dia. (6.35 mm) x 8 ft (2.44 m) with six 3/8" (9.53 mm) offsets provide 7-3/4" (197 mm) vertical adjustment and are spaced 16-1/4" (413 mm) o.c.

No. 262 Double Eye Rod Anchor: 2-3/4" (70 mm) and 4-3/4" (121 mm) long x 2-1/2" (64 mm) wide x 3/16" (4.76 mm) diameter wire. Available Mill Galvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, and Stainless Steel.

No. 263 Double Pintle Tie: 3-1/4" (83 mm), 4-3/4" (121 mm), and 5-1/2" (140 mm) long with 2-1/2" (64 mm) vertical adjustment. 3/16" (4.76 mm) diameter wire.

No. 360 L-Type Seismic Anchor: Made to order. Tab holds masonry reinforcement or pencil rod for seismic zone applications. Specify steel type, length, width, bend length, and hole size with location of tab.

No. 260 Corrugated Wall Tie: 7" (178 mm) long x 7/8" (22 mm) wide x 26, 24, 22, 20, 18, or 16 gage Mill Galvanized Steel. Also available in Hot Dip Galvanized and Stainless Steel, 16 ounce copper, and special sizes.
