Type "A" is an illustration on a flat area.

Type "B" is an illustration at the start of the ramp. However, the entire C" area is blocked out in the flat pre-cast tee.

Type "C" is the same grate as type "A" but it is shown in the ramp area. The pan is different from Type "A".

Open area of grate is 50% - 60%. Designed for 32,000 pounds per grate; a factor of safety of 2 for a H20 load.

Specify the camber of the concrete tees when ordering. The camber will be fabricated in the trench assembly.

TGPPG Grating is easy to design and specify for simple and inexpensive installation. Specify blackouts in your pre-cast tees equivalent to "C" plus 1/2". Length of grating plus 1".

All types A - B - C are furnished in lengths from 2 -6" up to 20-0' for a frame section. Assemblies longer than 20-0" require that sections be welded together at the job site.

We see no advantage to sloping the bottoms of the pans. Line wise, the flat bottom pans will fit within the tees more harmoniously and they are less expensive.

WATER FLOW TABLE

Flow Tables are for one inch (1”) if water head.  For two inch (2”) head multiply table figure by 1.25, for three inch (3”) head multiply table figure by 1.5625
