The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) recently completed a project called "Out on a Limb". This project includes pedestrian walkways, with stopping points to observe the wildlife and trees, oversized hammocks for "resting", a grapevine woven bird nest big enough for humans to explore and a pavilion for outdoor classroom activities. The architect and engineer for this project selected materials that were environmentally friendly and recyclable. OGI's swaged carbon steel grating was selected for the pedestrian walkways situated 50 feet above the ground. The material was supplied with a galvanized finish and a slip resistant surface to enhance safety and conformed to ADA Requirements.
