Dumpster Enclosure, Auburn Hills, MISummary Project Name: Dumpster Enclosure, Auburn Hills, MI Case Study Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) located in Auburn Hills, MI is a general contractor with a large office in Mexico. A large number of their clients are automotive plants in Canada, the United States & Mexico. The City of Auburn Hills requested that CCC design an enclosure that would visually obscure their dumpster area. CCC designed the frame and gate with galvanized structural steel, but used lightweight aluminum louver infill for 100% visual blockage and aesthetics on the rest of the gate. The lightweight, yet strong gate could easily be opened manually by one person. CCC incorporated OGi's LG-100 Aluminum Louver grating – with 100% visual blockage and adequate airflow – then installed the louver sections within the frame work. It was also important that the louver be noncorrosive, attractive, long-lasting and durable. OGi assisted with the design of the individual panels including the 3" × 5" aluminum angle frame, which was miter cut and welded. Each unit was designed to allow effective mounting and strength. The Aluminum (mill) finish provides minimal maintenance and will remain attractive for years to come.
