Light Duty PressLock – PL Series Steel Grating

Ohio Gratings, Inc. and Meiser of Germany have teamed up to manufacture PressLock bar grating in the United States. The joint venture, Meiser Bartley Gratings, LLC (MBG) manufactures PressLock bar grating for the Material Handling, Mezzanine and Shelving, Industrial and Architectural markets.

With unique spacing capabilities, PressLock is ideal for all types of grating applications.

The product will be available in carbon, aluminum and stainless steel.

PressLock Grating is made of steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. However, other materials can be used if the customer so wishes.

On our computer controlled production lines, the bearing bars are notched and then locked with the cross bar at very high pressures

The cross bar is inserted in the notches of the bearing bar and pres locked into a stable structure at a force of 500 tons. This particular production method guarantees a uniform precision mesh size.

The mesh size on PressLock Grating allows either bearing bars (T) or cross bars (F) to be spread in increments of 7/16". This provides a great deal of flexibility in design.

The edge of the PressLock grating is banded either with a T-shaped special section or flat bar. This process (i.e. where the banding is welded at right angles to and flush with the grating surface) is done with an automatic resistance welding process.

The manufacturing flexibility of the PressLock Grating allows Meiser Bartley Gratings LLC to produce a variation of spacing sizes. These spacing options allow for typical openings for walkways in industrial plants, waste water and water treatment plants, mezzanine platforms along with many others.

It also provides "special pricing options" for architectual designs that are ideal for handrail infills, sunscreens, building facades, and fencing applications. Either way, PressLock Grating is a perfect solution for all types of open design regardless of application.
