Dex-O-Tex Decor-Flor Flooring

1.) PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A) Composition
Dex-O-Tex Decor-Flor is a thin-section, trowel- or "broadcast"-applied flooring designed to produce a jointless floor and integral coved base. The completed floor is approximately 1/16" - 1/8" (1,59-3,18 mm) thick and consists of colored quartz granules embedded in a clear epoxy mastic. It is resistant to hydrocarbon greases, food creases and fats, and a range of chemicals.

Dex-O-Tex Decor-Flor can be applied over concrete, metal or wood sub-surfaces. (Consult Crossfield Products Corp. for detailed specification for wood surfaces.)

Quartz aggregate granules are available in seven basic colors (brown, buff, green, grey, blue, red, white). These aggregates may be mixed to make any color combination which the above aggregates can produce.

B) Typical Uses
Floors for laboratories, toilet rooms, kitchens, food processing areas, institutional floors, swimming pool perimeters, etc.

C) Advantages – Limitations

Advantages
1. Monolithic, including integral base.
2. Resistant to many chemicals. (Contact Crossfield Products Corp. for separate chemical resistance table.)
3. Produces a rapidly-installed, decorative seamless floor at moderate cost.
4. Installed only by Qualified Dex-O-Tex Contractors – factory trained and approved.

Limitations
1. If sub-surface cracks, Dex-O-Tex Decor-Flor may reflect cracks to some degree.
2. Water vapor transmission upwards through on-ground concrete slabs may result in loosening of epoxy floors or improper curing of epoxy materials.
