Dex-O-Tex Neotex-261 Flooring

1.) PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A) Composition
Dex-O-Tex Neotex-261 is a troweled, jointless floor. It is a water-phase resin material which is applied in a series of coats to achieve a smooth finish. It can also form an integral, sanitary coved base. Dex-O-Tex Neotex-261 is resistant to a wide range of acids, solvents and food fats (contact Crossfield Products Corp. for separate chemical resistance tables). In itself, the material is waterproof but for positive protection against leakage due to cracking of the surface over which Dex-O-Tex is applied, a Dex-O-Tex Waterproof Membrane should be specified (see pertinent Dex-O-Tex Product Description Sheets). Dex-O-Tex Neotex-261 can be installed over concrete, metal or wood surfaces (consult Crossfield Products Corp. for detailed specifications for wood surfaces).

Thickness of Dex-O-Tex Neotex-261 is approximately 1/4" (6.35 mm). See Dex-O-Tex Color Chart for colors. Final finish of Dex-O-Tex is available in choice of several gradations of slip-resistance.

As compared to epoxy flooring materials, Dex-O-Tex Neotex-261 is virtually unaffected by moisture vapor transmission coming upwards through concrete floors.

B) Typical Uses
Floors for animal housing, many industrial uses, television studios, institutional service, lockers, toilet and shower rooms – in general, areas where sanitation, waterproofness and chemical resistance are important.

C) Advantages – Limitations

Advantages
1. Monolithic, including integral base where specified.
2. Resistant to many chemicals.
3. Can be installed over wide range of new and existing surfaces with excellent adhesion.
4. No toxic odors during installation.
5. Low burning rate and negligible smoke production.
6. Waterproof – in conjunction with Dex-O-Tex Membrane.
7. Installed only by Qualified Dex-O-Tex Contractors – factory trained and approved.

Limitations
1. Not designed for constant heavy steel-wheeled trucking.
2. If sub-surface cracks, Dex-O-Tex Neotex may reflect cracks to some degree.
