Cellcast Floor System
Concrete frame construction
High capacity, low cost
The Cellcast Floor System is a cast-in-place, monolithic-poured wire
distribution system for concrete frame office building construction. Structurally,
it allows the composite steel floor to carry dead and live loads and completely
eliminates conventional slab forming and shoring. It combines structural
slab and electrical functions, and is the most efficient and economical
wire distribution system available for conrete-framed office buildings.
-
Fits into most one-way slab and beam framing designs without major changes
in the beam reinforcing bar details.
-
Steel floor units are factory-cut to proper length and marked for assembly
onto the beam and girder formwork, speeding the erection process.
-
Units are factory-punched with electrical access holes at each Tapway(tm)
trench header and at modular, predetermined spaces for Tapmate(tm) preset
outlet boxes.
-
Outlet boxes are snapped into place over factory-punched holes, permitting
access to power, telephone and data cells.
-
Unlike embedded duct systems supported on hi-chairs, the Cellcast System
can be drained of rainwater easily because the bottoms of the cells are
exposed at the underside of the slab
-
No core drilling for electrical activation.
-
Also applies to precast beams and girders
