Carrier-Lift® Inclined Platform Lift

The Carrier-Lift® Inclined Platform Lift is a simple, cost-effective and dependable transportation system for persons with disabilities.

The lift glides up and down stairs, across landings and around corners to make every floor of your building accessible.

The lift's broad platform easily accommodates someone in a wheelchair or a person sitting on the fold-down seat. Operating controls are conveniently placed and easily operated.

The Carrier-Lift rail is installed along the inside wall of your stairway. To insure a precise and "tight" fit, each rail is custom manufactured to the exact contours of your stairway – whether straight or curved.

Models are available with either "full-time" battery operation with our unique battery charging system or AC operation to power the reliable rack and pinion drive.

All Carrier-Lifts comply with the ANSI A17.1 guidelines, Parts XX and XXI and, when properly equipped, meet the ADAAG standards.

When stairs are a barrier in your building, there is no better solution than the Carrier-Lift® Inclined Platform Lift from ThyssenKrupp Access.

The Company

Mission Statement
ThyssenKrupp Access is committed to being the world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of specialized lifting equipment for elderly and disabled consumers to use in their homes, public and private buildings and places of worship.

History
ThyssenKrupp Access began as American Stair-Glide in 1947, when a Kansas City entrepreneur developed the Stair-Glide® stairway lift. The company began selling the product and developing a nationwide dealer network. Once the network was securely in place, we began to introduce new product lines to benefit the elderly and disabled.

By 1991, we had developed so many products - ranging from vertical and inclined wheelchair lifts to home elevators - that the American Stair-Glide name seemed too confining. So we changed our name to ThyssenKrupp Access to reflect our goal to open up any area of virtually any building to the elderly and disabled. We proved access to a new freedom of movement.

In 1999, ThyssenKrupp Access was acquired by the nation's largest elevator company, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, which even better positioned us to bring you quality products and make us an industry leader.
