This series again offers the unique pin hinge hardware system and construction of the commercial series 240 (Sweets printed catalog 08350/WOO) with the modifications similar to the residential series 220, yet has a further cost saving element as detailed: With the Series 140 being designed specifically for wardrobe/closet/utility room accordion doors, the vinyl-lam panels are faced only one side with a vinyl surface; the hardwood panels are veneered one side (face of door) with matched veneer and closet or back side with unmatched veneer.

Specific applications for the Series 140 are:
Washer/dryer enclosures, floor to ceiling wardrobe enclosures, close off basement stairs to conserve heat, front foyer closet doors to offer full accessibility of garments, utility room enclosures.

Conservation of space and energy are two vital elements of cost savings in the home today.

Using the cost saving residential Series 220 Room Divider to provide dual purpose usage such as dividing off a family room to use as an occasional guest room, or as a passage door between rooms are examples of space conservation within the home.

Heat and air conditioning cost savings can be effected by using our residential series door to close off such areas as recreation rooms when not in use.

Residential Series 220 is a modification of Commercial Series 240 as detailed in Sweets printed catalog.

Lead Post: Full length sweptwing handle, as detailed above, acts as lead post (integrated with first panel) and door pull; color coordinated to vinyl panel connectors. Double-end sweptwing handles available as option on doors 5' and wider.

Note: There is also a considerable cost savings of this style lead post compared to our Series 240 commercial door style lead post.

Limitations of the residential style series 220 are: (1) made as single door only (no pairs); (2) there is no provision for keylocks, latches or catches.

Stacking Space: 1-1/4" per lineal foot plus 7/8" for sweptwing handle.

Catch or Latch Note: Because the unique pin hinge hardware system allows the Woodfold door "to stay put," the residential Series 220 does not feature a catch to hold the door closed when in the extended position; therefore, also effecting cost savings.
