SERIES 240 COMMERCIAL / RESIDENTIAL ACCORDION DOORS, ROOM DIVIDERS MR-MANUFACTURER Since 1957 a manufacturer of wood folding accordion doors, Woodfold products are marketed throughout the United States, Canada and in some European and Middle Eastern countries. Since 1960 Woodfold has utilized a unique continuous pin hinge hardware system at the top and bottom of their accordion doors to insure positive controlled action. Woodfold has continued to steadily develop products to meet architectural and commercial needs as well as residential needs for folding doors. UA-USES, APPLICATIONS The accordion folding door concept offers an architectural product of many functions; providing increased flexibility in room design, saving considerable floor and wall space, and providing "instant room" when needed. Woodfolds 240 Series meets these functions admirably. Because of additional strength the hardware hinging system provides, the 240 Series is being specified for institutional, commercial and industrial projects. ADA COMPATIBLE The Series 140, 220, 240, 440, and 540 were tested for ADA compliance for opening load force per ADA/BOMA SEC 4.13.11. Tests conducted by MEI Charlton, Inc., Portland, OR. PP-PRODUCT PRESENTATION Panels: Available in Hardwoods or Vinyl-Lam (Accent Panel Inserts - Sweets printed catalog 08350/WOO). Note: Series 240H designates hardwood. Series 240V designates vinyl-lam. (See Sweets printed catalog 08350/WOO for selection.) Track: 1-1/8" x 1" x .062 aluminum, dark bronze or clear finish; option of curvable track available. Wheels: On openings over 15' wide and over 8' high, steel axles and ball bearing wheels with nylon tires are applied. On folding doors up to 15' wide and up to 8' high, nylon wheels with lexan axles are required (optional cost). Heights: CUSTOM MADE TO 12'. Hardwoods available to 10'. Widths: Custom made any width. Lead Post: 3/4" x 2-3/4", heavy-duty aluminum, color coordinated to vinyl panel connectors with two pair ball bearing wheel assemblies mounted to top of lead post. Catches: Magnetic catch in lead post with strike plate supplied for attachment to interlocking jamb mold. Keylocks, privacy latches and thumbturns available as options. Interlocking Jamb Mold: Color coordinated to lead post, supplied for positive door alignment. With interlocking jamb molding, doors may be specified as a single unit or as a pair. Handles: Molded, with finger recess and color coordinated with lead post will be supplied on doors over 15'0" in width. And on doors requiring optional locks or latches.
