Center-Roll® Curtain

The finest divider curtain available for today’s modern gymnasium and field
house applications. No more hoist cables, straps or overhead support rollers,
this truly revolutionary and unique hoisting system eliminates any high stressed
mounting points on your overhead structure.
The Ultimate in Compact Storage!
The Center-Roll® curtain rolls neatly and compactly to within 14" of
the ceiling or overhead support structure for maximum clearance. When support
structures allow, curtain will roll up through a one-foot wide opening and store
above ceiling areas to further enhance the aesthetics of your installation.
Rolls Smoothly and Quickly from the Center
The curtain rolls very neatly on an anodized aluminum tube located in the center
of the curtain. As the aluminum tube rotates, it moves the curtain up, rolling
up the top and bottom sections simultaneously. The assembly is extremely quiet,
operates at 30ft/min., features automatic overheating protection, and is permanently
lubricated for a maintenance-free operation. The torque reaction of this drive
assembly is taken up by either a wall-guide/torque carriage, or a torque strap-arm
arrangement, both of which roll up with the curtain.
Fabric Raises Without Straps or Cables
The solid section of the curtain is furnished in Porter’s 19 oz Flexivide®
vinyl fabric and the mesh section in Fleximesh® vinyl-coated mesh designed
with an approximate 45 to 50% open, air breathing area to provide both light and
air transfer. Access openings or contour-type configurations over bleacher areas
may be provided at any location below the Center-Roll® batten tube. Lower
support tube may be furnished with optional 3/4" thick padding for added
safety. Available in your choice of solid and mesh combinations, as well as a
variety of colors to choose from.
Fleximesh® Curtain Mesh Material for Roll-up Curtains
The Fleximesh® material provides a 45 to 50% open, air breathing area when
designed as an upper section in divider curtains to provide air transfer in gymnasiums
and field house applications. Fleximesh® mesh is available in four colors
(specify).
Creative Design Offers Many Options
The Center-Roll® can be designed with special openings for bleachers
and passageways. It may also be specified as a dual-wall divider curtain incorporating
wall-guide drive assemblies. The dual-wall divider is constructed of solid 19
oz. Flexivide® material with a one-foot air space between units
to provide additional sound reduction capabilities. Additional items can be specified
for use with this curtain, such as the Saf-Strap®, Powr-Touch™

Durable Fabric and Superior Construction
Flexivide® II vinyl fabric rolls on a 3-1/2" diameter batten, supported
by 5"-wide, heavy-duty commercial grade polyester belts located on 20' maximum
centers. Belts roll up smoothly and wrap precisely, thanks to sturdy and adjustable
belt tensioning/tracking guides. You’re ensured of a smooth and fresh look,
use after use, whether your needs call for a solid curtain, or a solid and mesh
configuration.

Fold-Up Curtain

The Porter No. 670 Fold-Up curtain offers facilities a convenient means of dividing gymnasium space and yet provides an uncluttered appearance overhead. The economical line shaft design raises the fabric by means of vandal-proof hoist cables. The hoist mechanism is powered by a 3/4 H.P., maintenance-free sealed oil bath-type gear motor. The 19 oz. Flexivide® (solid) and Flexinet® (mesh) fabric may be provided in any combination to suit your needs and allow for light and air transfer in the gymnasium. Slope-Fold® Curtain

Designed to make the best use of ceiling space in sloped rigid-frame structures, the No. 665 Slope-Fold® curtain can be designed and installed to fit flush against the roof frame, providing maximum clearance for competition volleyball or basketball. We custom design each electric, remote-hoist mechanism to fit the contours of your specific installation. The electric winch system includes a custom-engineered variable diameter ratio system, which hoists the gym divider to storage position and conforms to the existing slope or contour of the facility. Variable ratio drum winch assembly enables the No. 665 curtain to conform to virtually any slope. This direct drive system incorporates a 300:1 gear box and rotary counting limit switch for trouble-free and dependable operation. Walk-Draw Curtain
Specify No. 640
This track-type walk-draw dividing curtain can be easily operated and stacked
in the smallest of building recesses or flat against a wall. May also be stacked
between bleachers in an 18" separation between sections. Channel track may
be formed to any radius. Ideal for use around the inside perimeter of running
tracks for multi-purpose usage of larger facilities. The curtain track is enclosed
and is designed with a formed channel to protect the rollers from collecting dust,
which could hinder the smooth operation of the rollers. The 19 oz. Flexivide®
(solid) and Flexinet® (mesh) fabric may be provided in any combination to
suit your needs and allow for light and air transfer in the gymnasium. Contact

Cable Suspended Walk Draw Curtains
Specify No. 620 & 625
The Nos. 620 and 625 are the most economical dividing curtains to purchase, install
and maintain. Curtain sections roll to the wall for storage with special carriers
on 1/4" dia. galvanized steel cable. The No. 625 is furnished with additional
cable, pulleys, winch and hardware to hoist the center of the curtain support
cable to the center peak of a rigid frame or glulam beam-type of installation
to maximize space for competition play.
Combination Golf and Batting Cage

Overhead-supported, electrically retractable batting cages can be furnished in
any size to fit your facility. Provided as standard in either black or white 3/4"
square knotless nylon netting for multi-sport usage. One side of the netting can
be stored on top of the frame for use as a multi-station golf cage. Netting can
be stored on top of the support framework for compact storage.
