STRUCTURAL VERTICAL FASCIA AT END WALL
Structural Vertical Fascias are designed on a job bases to suit customers requirements. They can be used on buildings of any width or with any roof slope. Unlike the structural mansards shown on page H1.6 there are no standard sizes. Both face height and projection can be varied as desired. Although designated as vertical the upright structural support can also be sloped in either direction to give either a mansard or reverse slope fascia appearance.
Supports for Structural Vertical Fascias are L shaped frames of hot-rolled or welded-up plate sections which bolt to brackets attached to the building columns. Face panels and liner panels may be selected from any of Cecos wall panel configurations and soffit panels may be MVW or MIP configuration.
Structural Vertical Fascias may be specified on any one or on all four walls of the building. They may extend partially or entirely around the perimeter of the building. If stopped at a location other than a corner, the fascia must end at a column line, and an end closure is provided.
If used in geographical areas subject to heavy snow and ice accumulations
it is recommended that gutter, liner panels and soffit panels be deleted
at the eaves to decrease the probability of ice damage.
