UA-USES, APPLICATIONS
Accordion partitions are recommended in areas where spaces need to change fast and often. They are most commonly used in churches, schools, restaurants, and commercial projects.

PP-PRODUCT PRESENTATION
Hufcor Accordion Doors are constructed of a steel internal pantograph and covered with durable 5-ply laminated covers. The addition of top and bottom sweepstrips, steel, and fiberglass provide various sound control ratings. Multiple meeting posts, curves or switches may be ordered for intersecting doors or alternate locations.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
A. To be Hufcor Series (inset from chart) as manufactured by Hufcor Inc.
1. Covers will be semi-rigid 5-ply laminated construction with manufacturer's standard vinyl fabric providing wrinkle-free impact resistant surfaces. Covers shall have Steelcor laminated strips and fiberglass within each fold (Model 3100 does not include Steelcor) for acoustical purposes and shall weigh not less than:
3100 - 90 oz.
3500 - 170 oz.
3800 - 180 oz.
3900 - 200 oz.
4000 - 260 oz.
4100 - 310 oz.
per (54" wide) lineal yard. Covers shall be removable and replaceable at job site.

2. Partition shall have an internal framing of vertical cold rolled steel galvanized and riveted to form "X" construction pantographs. Pantographs shall provide even extension and contraction without binding on straight runs of track or on curves as shown on the plans. Pantographs shall have built-in stops to prevent over-extending. Partition shall have pantographs located at top and bottom, plus intermediate pantographs located no more than 4' on centers. Vertical steel channel posts shall support pantographs at each end of the partition.

3. Covers shall have multi-ply sweep strips top and bottom both sides of partition for acoustical seal.

4. Weight of the door in shall be _____ (add from chart).

B. Partitions will be supported by 4-wheel ball bearing carrier at lead post and shall be adjustable to facilitate alignment of the lead post to the jamb. Intermediate carries to be 2-wheel ball bearing carriers spaced 18" on center. Track shall be as specified by manufacturer for best performance as governed by overall size and weight of partition.

C. Panel finish
1. Shall be factory applied, Class "A" rated material. Finish shall be: (Select one):
--Hufcor standard Highland or Cairn reinforced vinyl fabric with woven backing, weighing not less than 15 oz. per lineal yard. Flame spread 5; Smoke Developed 10; Fuel Contributed 0.

Optional:
--Hufcor standard vertical ribbed carpet (N.R.C. .20-.30) (not available on Model 4400)
--Hufcor Endurance woven 100% polyolefin stain resistant fabric

OPERATION
A. Partitions shall be top supported, manually operated.

B. Partition closure jamb shall be dual magnaseal (full height magnetic acoustical seal). Mechanical latching shall be standard. Provision for locking shall be available as an optional extra.

ACOUSTICAL PERFORMANCE
A. Laboratory acoustical performance is to be tested by an independent acoustical consultant at a laboratory NVLAP accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce in accordance with Quality Assurance under General Conditions and shall have obtained an STC of _____ (select those desired from chart).

Complete written test report by the testing agency is to be made available upon request and included with approval drawings.
