MIRACOTE DECORATIVE FINISHES

Almost any look, any texture, any color is obtainable with Miracote Decorative Flooring.

Integrally pigmented, and finish stained, Mircote can be applied with stamps or templates to create endless patterns and textures – new or antiqued.

Miracote faux brick floor looks more like brick than brick does! Similarly with tile or stone replicas using Miracote Protective Coating.

Unlike other stamped concrete systems, Miracote Mirastamp can be installed in thin – section (1/4" - 1/2") directly over existing concrete.

Ideal for driveways, sidewalks, patios, balconies, retail operations – anywhere you want to make an unusual statement or a beautiful impression that lasts.

MIRACOTE MICRO-TOPPING

Miracote Micro-Topping is a thin-section, decorative coating system which gives the appearance of concrete but is flexible, abrasion-resistant and easier to clean. Micro-Topping can be applied by brush, trowel, squeegee, roller, or spray and produces an extremely durable, low cost but attractive appearance. Typical thickness is approximately 3/32 of an inch (2.4 mm) and is light in weight at approximately 1.2 lbs per square foot. It can be used in the widest ranges of climates and is offered in slip - resistant profiles. Micro-Topping base is available in two natural colors, white and light gray, or can be integrally pigmented in a wide range of additional colors, or antiqued or chemical - stained producing coloration and texture options that provide an additional dimension accent design feature unique to each application. A special polyurethane coating protects the Micro-Topping, making it more easily cleaned. Miracote Micro-Topping may also be used to produce a skid resistant finish.

Among proven uses for Micro-Topping are: Retail Stores, outlets, food and beverage service establishments, restrooms, and floors for public area in hotels, theme parks, museums, professional offices, museums, schools, and universities.

Micro-Topping is flexible and will accept a limited amount of deflection in a substrate. Micro-Topping can be installed over Miracote RM Types III and IV, which are applied over mechanically fastened metal lathe to provide a suitable concrete like surface over wooden substrates. This is a distinct advantage of Micro-Topping over traditional self-leveling overlayments.

MIRACOTE SLF-D

Miracote SLF-D is a white self-leveling topping for interior decorative applications that are stained and sealed with Miracote sealers to provide multi-colored surfaces with an available full range of gloss, matte or satin sealers that are highly resistant to traffic and chemicals. SLF-D is installed from 1/4" up to 2" and can be spread to a featheredge over high spots within an irregular substrate.

SLF-D Decorative Self-Leveling Interior Finished Floor System

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SLF-D 50 is a white polymer modified cementitious interior use finished floor topping over concrete. SLF-D is self-leveling, rapidly installed, and is quick setting. SLF-D delivers a smooth floor surface that is stained and sealed to produce Architectural Interior floor designs featuring multiple custom colorations, accent score cuts, and blast stencil designs. SLF-D can be topped with available Miracote sealers to produce clear, gloss, matte or satin finishes. SLF-D comes as a white dry powder, which is job mixed with water into fluid material that is easily pumped or poured onto the surface and then spread into place. The material seeks its own level and rapidly sets in hardness.

TYPICAL USES
SLF-D can be installed from a thickness of 1/4" up to 2" and will function at a featheredge over high points. Thicker application is accomplished with the addition of washed stone aggregate. SLF-D can be lightly walked on in ideal conditions between 2 to 3 hours after placement. Stains can usually be applied after six hours and sealers can usually be applied the next day. SLF-D can be applied over concrete, ceramic tile, terrazzo, quarry tile and almost any other structurally-sound, tightly adhered surface applied over a sound concrete substrate. SLF-D is resistant to water and, in itself, is not sensitive to MVT. A high moisture vapor transmission condition can, however, affect color of stains during initial reaction or drying and can impact sealer characteristics, thus necessitating monitoring of MVT to determine potential affect on applied stains and sealers.

INSTALLATION
A. Surface Preparation
Remove existing floor coverings, paint, tiles, adhesive, grout, etc. On existing concrete surfaces totally remove foreign substances such as wax, grease, oil or dirt, which will prevent bond. Generally it is required to remove old existing mastic flooring adhesive down to concrete. When existing mastic is difficult to remove, consult Crossfield Products Corp. for further instructions. Block off holes or static non-working cracks through the floor, which would permit the SLF-D to flow through.
B. Priming
Use Miracote Liquid Catalyst (MLC) mixed (diluted) with water to produce a liquid polymer primer. Drill-mix MLC with potable water at a rate of 1:1 and apply by brush, spray apparatus or long-nap roller. Coverage of Miracote Liquid Catalyst Primer MIX will average between 300 and 350 sq. ft. per mixed gallon. Allow primer to dry to a slight tack state - usually 2 hours. On porous surfaces or when the first primer coat is totally absorbed, a second primer coat is required.
C. Mixing SLF-D Dry Powder
Standard specified mix is 5 quarts water to one 50 lb. bag of SLF-D 50 Powder. Mix by ½" double insulated fast drill minimum 650 rpm. SLF-D will remain in a flowing state for 10 - 15 minutes after mixing. Material can be applied in thickness from 1/4" up to 2" and SLF-D can function at a featheredge over high points in the substrate. One 50lb sack of SLU will cover approximately 28-sq. ft. in a thickness of 1/4".

Consult Crossfield Products Corp. for recommendations greater than 2".

D. Application
Begin application at the far corner of the area to receive the materials. Pour the SLF-D material onto the surface and spread with gage rake set at the desired minimum thickness. Maintain a continuous wet edge. Wear platform spikes set higher than the material's application depth to avoid reflective imprints in the surface because laborers are required to walk through the wet material to smooth the surface. The material seeks its own level without the use of hand trowel and is easily brought to a smooth surface using a smoothie trowel technique. Consult Crossfield Products Corp. for a trowel grade underlayment recommendation when an elevation transition is required such as from room to room, or for an application greater than 2". Acquire a copy of Miracote Printed Application Specifications for the application of this product, Miracote Mirastain I, Mirastain II and Miracote sealers.

After SLF-D has reached its set, the surface is lightly screen sanded prior to the application of stains. Apply any desired score cuts and stain the surface. Cut reflective relief saw cuts corresponding the substrate. After stains are applied and set, prepare the surface for sealer application in accordance with the types of stain and sealers specified.

MIRACOTE MIRASTAMP

Miracote Mirastamp is a very decorative profiled overlayment which looks like stamped concrete yet functions as a tough floor. The system consists of a polymeric primer which is applied over prepared concrete substrates, after which the integrally pigmented basecoat is poured and stamped. Conventional stamping tools are sprayed using the unique Mirastamp liquid release agent which self-dissipates when dry. A multi-colored surface can be achieved by disbursing a color additive within the liquid release, or the stamped impression can be chemically stained. The final step is the application of a clear or pigmented sealer which adds stain resistance.

Mirastamp is ideal for driveways, sidewalks, patios, balconies, lobbies or anywhere you want to create a beautiful impression that lasts.
