Glass Options for Non-Vision Areas

Commercial projects often require spandrel glass to match, accentuate or complement the vision areas of the building. For these non-vision areas (between floors, elevator shafts, etc.), AGC supplies Spandrel Glass in a number of standard and custom color options. AGC produces Ceramic Frit Spandrel for monolithic use and for insulated glass units and also provides opacifier/scrim spandrel for monolithic applications. Ceramic Frit is heat-processed glass with roller coated ceramic frit permanently fused to the glass surface, providing a very durable coating. Opacifier/scrim is a factory-applied film for coated glasses that can offer full coverage and can be trimmed back for structural glazing. Please consult your AGC sales representative for recommendations and specific project assistance in determining options and best use of spandrel for your project.
